Summer's Coming

Summer's Coming

As May comes to an end and everything is starting to warm up, outdoor adventures are about to be in full swing. We thought this would be the perfect time to write up a little blog about using Cold Case Gear in the heat.

Aerogel is a pretty cool insulation. It allows items to stay at whatever temperature they’d been prior to going into it. So this means that not only does it keep things from freezing, it also keeps items from melting or overheating.

So if you’ve got some Cold Case Gear, you can now hike with chocolate that won't melt and you can even keep that summit beer nice and cold.

A couple years ago, I did a very unofficial test of our products. It was July and a very hot day, maybe 80ish. I bought two pints of ice cream and put them in a Cold Case. And then I went and got my hair cut and dyed for over four hours, while the ice cream sat in my car.

I then had an hour drive to home. So those ice creams sat in a Cold Case for five hours in the heat. When I got home, the ice cream was still ice cream. No runny, soupy mess. I was impressed.

So this year if you’re looking for a solution to beat the heat as far as food and electronics go, we’ve got you covered.
